I record my vocal and acoustic (together) into separate mono tracks and find the initial recording clarity and sound is better in Reaper. Especially as now that I can export from 32C in MP3, the recording process is my only use for Reaper. Have you followed this thread (link below) in the forum, it goes back to 2014.įor sure it is not a straightforward process, but prior to that time - when I was using Reaper and (I think) Audition 3, the process worked seamlessly for me, but really not worth the effort involved trying to get it to work via MB/32C - far easier to just export the stems from Reaper and drop into MB 32C for editing and mixing. Hi Jonetsu, thanks for the link and info. He also authored two excellent reference books on mixing and recording. (1) Mike is a contributor to the Sound On Sound magazine with his "Mix Rescue" columns and gear reviews. This is why I find that Reaper function a bit (a lot) weird, having to do with the exe of another DAW. It has projects from 1 track to 60+ tracks of any style, from folk singer to big band to jazz quartet to heavy metal, that everyone can load into their DAWs and mix, and then send back the mixes for others to hear and eventually discuss about them.

Take for instance Mike Senior's (1) ever growing multitrack library of projects to mix: I mean, wav files are very much standard for exchanging projects between DAWs. (02-16-2018, 06:41 PM)jonetsu Wrote: In any case that Reaper function seems very strange.
